Carefile's medical record system is specifically designed for medical
specialists but is also flexible enough for GP's.
It is based on the concept that a standard profile of the most common
types of patients a specialist sees can be created on the computer. This
patient profile can be used to collect, display and report clinical data.

The Carefile medical records system is a superb tool for collecting and
analyzing clinical data. Several medical centres use it to collect and combine
data on specific patients. Carefile allows access to all clinical data for
searching, sorting, and graphing. The system can be used to produce recall
lists, resident teaching reports, preventative medicine protocols, and many
other useful reports.
With the unique Carefile design, users can enter clinical and billing data as
it is collected. This allows the clinic to keep up with the patient flow and no
backlog of data builds up. Because data is entered directing into the computer
there is less chance of error.
The system can be used as a teaching tool as it provides a detailed clinical
checklist for the documentation of cases.
Integrated with the medical records component is an optional electronic
medicare billing system for the provinces of Ontario, Québec, and New
Brunswick. Stand-alone Québec and New Brunswick billing systems are also
available in both DOS and Windows versions (an Ontario Windows version will be
available soon).
