Carefile's electronic medical records module is composed of three
components: CareFiler, CareEditor and CareAnalyser.

This component is used to enter all patient demographic and clinical data.
Clinical data is entered by assigning a "profile" to the patient's file and
flagging the items applicable to this patient.
This data is then used to generate consult letters, chart notes, discharge
summaries or operation reports. The letters and reports are totally customizable by the user via an integrated
forms system.
In addition, a Status Board system is included that allows the user to classify
selected patients such as all patients in the waiting room or all patients on
the ward.
This component is used to search the patient database using almost any set of
criteria (i.e. "Find all patients over age 65 that have had skin cancer and have
not been seen for 6 months".) Criteria can be connected using boolean algebra.
